Daddy finds a shiny penny in
the hospital lobby this morning. The morning Daddy's little Olivia
receives her Angel wings. Olivia, Is That You?
I found a shiny penny
just laying on the ground.
But, it's more than just a
penny,
this little coin I found.
Pennies come from Heaven,
or so that's what I’ve been
told,
tossed to earth by Angels
to ease your deepest hurt.
For when an Angel misses you
they toss a penny down,
to fill your heart with
cheer,
and make a smile out of your
frown.
So when you see a shiny penny
gleaming brightly on the
ground,
pick it up and treasure it
for an Angel tossed it down.

For his birthday, Daddy has
two
new charms to wear on his chain: Daddy has the Shiny Penny Olivia gave
him, and the letter "O"
with an Angel on it, to wear both of them close to his heart.
