Happy Birthday, Sweetie

16 September 2004

Dear Family and Friends:

On this day, four years ago, we received the best gift of our lives, we were blessed with our dear Olivia. We were blessed at 10:44 A. M. on a nice crisp, sunny, autumn day.

On this day, three years ago, we celebrated Olivia's first birthday, after Gary had been stranded in Orlando because of the cowardly September 11 attacks on US soil. Gary finally arrived home the night before Olivia's birthday to make his famous "gabby sauce" for her. Olivia celebrated by sitting in her new red wagon, opening gifts, and was surrounded by lots of balloons!

On this day, two years ago, we celebrated Olivia's second birthday with her riding her new red tricycle. Again, Olivia was surrounded by lots of balloons, including Elmo!

Last year, we celebrated Olivia's birthday by flying a great big fish kite at the park and left Olivia lots of balloons to blow in the wind! We also went to Olivia's favorite restaurant (Mexican, of course) for 'bitch and sauce."

This year, we have more balloons (wait til you see...) and we'll be back at her favorite restaurant for "bitch and sauce" and see all the tropical birds on display.

Raise your glass on Thursday and say, "Cheers!" We will be toasting Olivia and she will be toasting right along with us.

"We were able to give Olivia the moon and the stars; and, in return, Olivia gave us the sunshine and rainbows."

We are truly blessed!

Blessed Parents,

Gary and Linda (and, Moose, of course)

"We can't know why the lily has so brief a time to bloom in the warmth of sunlight's kiss upon its face before it folds its fragrance in and bids the world good-night to rest its beauty in a gentler place...

But we can know that nothing that is loved is ever lost, and no one who has ever touched a heart can really pass away, because their beauty lingers on in each precious memory of which they've been a part."
